Default I need an AntiVirus for scan another comp. that has windows

Hi,

I need to pass an antivirus to a windows pc from my openSUSE10.3, what I
need to do?

I have never installed a antivirus in my linux.

I don't want it to check my linux, just to check another computer running
windows xp (by network or by putting temporaly the HD to my linux comp.)

Thanks.

Hi
avg, clamav (should be on your distro), f-prot there are a few. I
normally attach the drive to the linux machine via usb, then run a scan.

I have found with YaST:

- antivir (On Antivir Virus Scanning)
- clamav (Antivirus Toolkit)

Witch of both is the best for my situation?

Do I understand well that clamav is just for mail servers?

I'll be waiting your opinions before proceed to install something.

Hi
clamav has a command line scanner clamscan to scan files and
directories. I use the clamav plugin with claws-mail.

I've used AVG on windows machines but have never used antivir. It
wouldn't hurt to try both clamav and antivir IMHO.
