I am trying to convert files that were created by Ready,Set,Go v5 on a MAC,
so that they can be read by open office. I have tried the commercial software Conversion Plus. I have googled quite a bit on this one. I have found a modern windows version of the software but it crashes when I feed it a serial #. I have over 2ooo documents that I need to convert. Any Ideas? -MD |

What on earth is that program ? Never heard of it. And do you still have it running? You should give more details, as most people here never used a Mac. Which doesn't mean they can't help. But knowing in what field to look, should be a minimum. I google'd a bit, and downloaded the manual for the Windows version. This is a rather primitive software, it seems. It's Save-as option's only purpose seems to be, to select another name or directory. No mension of saving under another format. Unless there is a specific export function, elsewhere? -- Research is what I'm doing, when I don't know what I'm doing. (von Braun) |

The church is now using a PC and would like to have documents and spreadsheets imported. There are two windows versions of the program available. The Gold edition and the Ruby edition. I have tried setting up a 14 day trial version of the Ruby edition because it will alow me to extract the files in ASCII. The problem is a line exception error is generated when I enter the serial #. I have been in contact with RSG customer support but have not had any success. This forum is not for windows or mac programs but I was hopping that someone would have an idea of linux program that could extract the information I need without me spending a lot of time deleting extra characters out each file manually. -MD |

See http://www.scribus.net/ You might want to ask on their forums/mailing lists. See if they can help. J -- Pye, James Pye, chmod 007 The Ultimate Open Source |

If I run across one of our graphists, I'll ask about it. But I do their IT support, and hadn't heard the name before. I'll let you know if I find something. Would you considering sharing one of these files, for evaluation of it's contents ? -- Research is what I'm doing, when I don't know what I'm doing. (von Braun) |
