I have a question about the trash bin in KDE 3.5.6.
In KDE 3.4.2, when I right clicked on the trash icon, there was an item in the submenu that said "empty trash bin" and when I clicked that, it asked do I "really want to delete the items" and it showed me a list of the items. On this newer KDE, it asks the same question but all it shows for the items that are supposed to be in it is this: / I never click ok, because I'm afraid that / means the root directory. How can I get the trash bin to display it's actual contents when it asks for confirmation? |

* artist@noplacelikehome.com,
it behaves differently here, i.e. I don't see any confirmation dialog when I right click and empty the trash. Is that an updated version of KDE? Anyway, if you check the properties of the trash icon, you see the URL is "trash:/", so the "/" you see is probably not the file system root. If I really want to check what's in the trash, I just open it. Uwe -- Novell Support Connection Volunteer SysOp Please don't send me support related e-mail unless I ask you to do so. |
