Default mouse pointer gone 10.2

new (AMD 64) machine, new (32bit) install of SUSE 10.2 (GA)..

mb has Nvidia built in..

before i got around to packman and all that the mouse pointer would just
disappear for no apparent reason..

i figured the nvidia driver would solve that problem...but NOOOoooo!

any ideas on what to try???

Had the problem in 10.1 but can't remember what fixed it (I've got a
Nvidia 6100/410 mb), but no problems with 10.2. Do you have a wireless or
corded mouse?
You could try:
- using a diff mouse cursor theme
- change in sax2 the mouse's designation
- change the physical mouse

hard wired, cord mouse..

motherboard: MSI K8NGM-V S754 with onboard NAVIDIA C51G chipset for
graphics..

i will try those suggestions..thanks!!

i changed the mouse cursor from white (something) to green...and it
worked ok....then, i chaged it back to white (something) and it STILL
works ok..

strange.
