Default SuSE 10.1 Firefox Settings won't open

On my daugther's notebook, if I select Edit - Settings in Firefox,
nothing happens. The Settings window just doesn't appear.
I've already reinstalled Firefox from the FTP repository
but that didn't help.

Any ideas?

TIA

what does ~/.mozilla/firefox say? Consider renaming the old
~/.mozilla/firefox folder, run Ff (it recreates the configs automatically
from a skeleton) and copy-paste the old bookmarks, etc to the newly created
firefox config directory.

BTW, reinstalling Ff does _not_ delete the old configs! You have to do this
by hand (as described above).

Hope it was of assistance.
