Default Apache 2

Hi i was trying to install apache2 on my computer,which is running suse
10.1. when i try to start it however using the httpd2 start command it
keeps giving me an error saying that line 187 is missing from the conf
file of the httpd2. also its saying that file is missing. ive tried to
reinstall the software but it isnt fixing it. if you have any suggestions
or could point me in the right direction. note that i cant get on irc.

Default Apache 2

Are you using the Apache that came with the Suse Linux CDs (or DVD) or one
from the apache.org site?
Different versions of Apache2 have different httpd.conf files. (Line 187 on
mine is just a comment.)
As for starting it, have you tried switching to root in a terminal window,
changing to the apache2/bin (httpd2/bin in your case?) directory, and
using: "./apachectl start"?
