Default Democracy Player

So there is a a very cool application out there called Democracy Player
and I want an easy way to install it on SuSe. As I do not know what I am
doing I was hoping that if I posted here and drew attention to it someone
would go off and do up either a SuSe RPM or an autopackage.

Democracy Player is a programme for aggegrating, browsing, and viewing
videos off of the Internet. It is a channel guide, a client for
subscribing to pushed content, and player all in one. It is more than the
sum of its parts and is better tried out than explained.

It is open source and although they make packages for various
distrubutions, SuSe was not one of them and they publically asked for
help in creating one.

If anyone here is qualified to help, please do. :-) Or help make it an
autopackage in order to help users of every Linux distro.

I compiled it but it wouldn't run, there's an issue with where Suse places
some library in a non-standard location or something. You could try
Katchtv or Penguintv as they seem to be similar though I don't know if
you'll have issues compiling and running them.

Bill:

Thank you for trying.

I specifically like Democracy Player so I still want to install it one
day, but regardless I will look at those other apps you mentioned. Thank
you for the suggestion.

However, my post was also about helping the Democracy Player people
spread the app. So if anyone else out there thinks they can help, please
do so.
