This kernel came through as an upgrade but lm-sensors won't work with it,
not starting out of init.d on boot up and failing to find any chips on sensors-detect. If I try to start sensors manually, it fails as well. It all works absolutely fine with normal hardware monitoring on the older kernel, 2.6.16.13-4, with normal start on boot up and chips found (asb100) on sensors-detect. Checking lsmod shows that both kernels are loading the same modules (i2c, etc), but for some reason sensors under the more recent kernel is not picking up the information it needs. I'm running an Asus P4G8X and an Intel Northwood 2.4 P4. I've tried recompiling modules but to no avail. Anyone know what the cause/fix might be? TIA |
