Installing MS .Net Framework 1.1 with Wine?

Anyone managed to do this? I have a couple of Windows apps that require the
..Net Framework 1.1 in order to run (Broderbund Print Shop 21 among them).

I've tried to install the Mono framework, but that didn't help in this case.
All I got was the splash screen (good), covering up an error message (not so
good - couldn't move it to see it easily), indicating that the .Net Framework
was required to run. :-(

Anyone experienced something similar and managed to work around it in any way?
