Are there any mirrors for the following site:
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/Open...-i386/2.0.3-1/ I've tried for 2 days to get the update but after about an hour of very s-l-o-w downloading (sometimes 2 kb/sec) I get an error saying that the file could not be read and to try later. |

Thanks I'm trying it now.
Wierd thing is, when I went to the page in SeaMonkey, it had all these music icons next to the files. > On Wed, 19 Jul 2006 17:30:10 +0000, theartist wrote: > > > Are there any mirrors for the following site: > > ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/Open...-i386/2.0.3-1/ > > > > I've tried for 2 days to get the update but after about an hour of very > > s-l-o-w downloading (sometimes 2 kb/sec) I get an error saying that the > > file could not be read and to try later. > > Got mine today in an matter of minutes from here: > > http://sunsite.utk.edu/ftp/pub/linux...org/10.0-i386/ > > testy |

Thanks Malcom,
When I tried to use Yast to install it, Yast gave me the error message, "the following package have not been found on the medium OpenOffice_orOpenOffice_org" and refused to do anything further after that. > On Wed, 19 Jul 2006 17:30:10 GMT > theartist@noplacelikehome.com wrote: > > > Are there any mirrors for the following site: > > ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/Open...-i386/2.0.3-1/ > > > > I've tried for 2 days to get the update but after about an hour of > > very s-l-o-w downloading (sometimes 2 kb/sec) I get an error saying > > that the file could not be read and to try later. > Hi > Try suse.mirrors.tds.net /pub/projects > > -- > Cheers > Malcolm °¿° |

I just downloaded it and when I tried it, all I got was the error message:
"The following packages have not been found on the medium OpenOffice_orOpenOffice_org" and Yast refused to do anything further when I clicked ok. This is the second time I've run into this. I wonder what is wrong?

The fix for me anyway was to right click the RPM, choose "open with KPackage" and then choose Install in KPackage. Worked for me anyway. Testy ' |

I'd been looking for an rpm version of OpenOffice 2.0.3 and just used the above site. Everything appears to have installed and is working. Update 2.0.2. Thanks again for the link -- Russ |

I've tried with Yast and I've tried with Kpackage. This is the error I get with Kpackage: error failed dependencies OpenOffice_org = 2.0.2-7.1 is needed by (installed) OpenOffice_org-kde-2.0.2-7.1 I have both of these installed and I want to upgrade to 2.0.3. I don't get it. This is such a weird problem. When I try to install with Yast, it says there's no media! Am I supposed to uninstall the 2.0.2 version first? I don't remember having to do that before. |
