The subject line says it all...I want to be able to burn a full backup
(about 125 GB) to multiple DVDs. Can I do this with K3b? I've tried installing all the backup programs from Yast but only Kdat seem to actually show up in system/backup in the KDE Menu. Neither one seems to understand DVDs. Thanks Bob -- support-forums.novell.com |

Yes, K3b will burn to DVDs, however, you're going to have to find some way to break your backup into 9GB chunks, which can be done with tar or cpio. There are also several scripts I believe to accomplish the same, this is one that just turned up in a quick google search, I haven't tried it myself: http://www.bluehaze.com.au/unix/cdbkup.html -- Justin Grote Novell Support Connection Sysop Network Architect JWG Networks |

For those dual booting with WinXP, it will also backup/restore that partition too. It is run from the commandline in a console and is text based. You can include/exclude files or directories. -- Later, Darrell Stec darstec@neo.rr.com Webpage Sorcery http://webpagesorcery.com We Put the Magic in Your Webpages |
