I am using SUSE10 with the Gnome desktop. When I start Xine (from a
command line) the Xine window comes up but no console. The error displayed on the window title bar reads: Xine:There's no mrl. It worked ok a few days ago and works ok when I log in as root. The only thing I have changed since last it worked when I logged in as a user is that I have installed an internal modem. How do I get the console back? Do I have to reinstall it? Thanks Andrew |

An additional problem is that when logged into my "user" account I cannot access the cd/dvd drive at all. However if I use any feature that requires me to put in the root password (like YAST) or if I open a terminal window and log in as SU the drive is activated and stays this way for the rest of the session. Even if I've logged out of super user mode. |
