After I installed Firefox 1.5 from Suse's ftp server, evolution quit
workinbg. It complained that it could not open libssl3.so. How might I fix this? Any and all help appreciated. -- Rick |

And even though it was installed by Thuderbird, NVU and Firefox 1.5, Evolution wanted it in /opt/Mozillafirefox/lib. Apparently Firefox 1.5 puts it in another location. I copied it(and, as it turns out, the other libs it wanted) back to /opt/Mozillafirefox/lib. Evolution is happy now, but that's a hell of a way to run an airline, er, update. -- Rick |

I could drop a line to the devs to tell them if it is needed, maybe when they compiled it with the default prefix location instead of telling it to install in /opt/ HTH -- Mark Twixt hill and high water N. And therefore should find the lib in default library path. Please check that. Can you check that you have updated that as well to see if it fixes the problem? -- Mark Twixt hill and high water N. Wonder if they have put the wrong rpm`s ( 10.0 ) in the 9.3 dir on the ftp site? Will get back as soon as I hear anything. -- Mark Twixt hill and high water N. Wales, UK Novell Support Forums SysOp |

Thanks. When I put the required files back into the Firefox directory, Evolution started working again. -- Rick |
