There are some options (googling should find them) but I, personally, would never trust any of them simply because of the above fact. However, if you have two computers -- one Linux and one Windows -- you can network them and write wherever you want via Samba. That way, Windows is writing to it's filesystems and you avoid the problem. But, if this is all on one box, that's not an option . . . -- Kevin Nathan (Arizona, USA) Novell Support Forums Volunteer SysOp Linux is not a destination, it's a journey -- enjoy the trip! For latest informations on status of linux-ntfs project youcan look at: http://www.linux-ntfs.org/ here is current status http://www.linux-ntfs.org/content/view/15/29/ -- Regards, Rajko M. |

In addition to what the other replies said, there's also a project named "Captive" building a wrapper to run the original Windows NTFS driver on Linux with the help of WinE (the Windows Emulator). SUSE really needs to add FUSE... maybe in a future release. |

Just, it looks strange: wrapper for wireless, wrapper for NTFS, wrapper for windows applications (wine), more wrappers that I don't know about ... Is that where the Linux is going? -- Regards, Rajko M. |
