Default Cleaning drive

Any suggestions on procedures I should follow to make sure my drive is free
from temp files and corruption?

I just want to keep my system in top shape. Make sure there is no useless
tmp files lost in the drive taking up space. I also want to make sure I
avoid drive corruption.

tmpwatch is good at that. There's probably a script in /etc/cron.daily
to run it against certain directories, and you can add your own.

What is drive corruption?
Are you referring to FAT and NTFS fragmentation?
If so, it does not exist in any form with any practical substance in any
of the filesystems unices use.

Also in Yast>System>/etc/sysconfig Editor>System>cron you can setup the
time temp files are kept and which dirs can be cleaned out on a regular
basis.
