Default Flightgear on Suse 10

All, having used Suse 9 for several years I recently purchased Suse 10,
but Flightgear, one of my favorite applications, is not present in this
version. My question - will one of the versions provided with the Suse 9
series work on Suse 10?

If that won't work how difficult is it to build the newest version from
source? I have looked at the Flightgear web site and there instructions
for compiling from source assume a level of knowledge that may be beyond
my abilities. They also indicate that there is a problem with freeglut
2.4.0 contained in Suse 10 and that you need to downgrade to the older
ersion, 2.2.0, or compile with SDL support. I am not usre how to safely
do either of these.

tnanks for any help, v/r John
