I regularly log into my 9.3 box via SSH (Putty on Windows) and run
RealVNC through an SSH tunnel. This works well; however, after about an hour it appears that my connection drops out; Putty will ask if I want to accept the key again and it reconnects. This would not be a big problem except that KDE-VNC does not work (I can't type anything in to unlock the screen) and if I use (which I am) X-VNC the server resets each time and I lose my session. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could solve this problem (or what is causing the problem)? I use have used FreeNX but the computer I am at is basically a kiosk so I have to be able to run things without installing them (can't use a LiveCD either). Thank you in advance for any help that is offered. Matt |

I still am lost over why KDE's VNC system won't work. I have all of the latest updates. Matt |
