Default foot pedal for medical transcription

can you pls help me on my configuration regarding my foot pedal, i cant
get it work, it seems that the security of suse is blocking the use of
ports, (serial and USB), have no idea how to use the console, i am a
windows XP user but after i installed suse in my computer, there's no
turning back, its cool...as in really cool....go KDE . . . : )

I'm glad you like SuSE. Give the details of your "foot pedal" such as
what it is, its make and model, and how it physically connects to the
computer. Does it need a special program to make it work? Did you check
to see if this hardware is supported in SuSE? All hardware needs
software - called "drivers" - to tell an operating system (any
operating system, Windows or Linux) how to use that hardware. Without
drivers for the specific operating system you are using, the hardware
will not work. The more details you can supply, the more specific an
answer you can receive.
