Where do I go to configure apps to start when the OS is booted? (And where to remove apps from startup?) Thanks, Bryen |

If they are servers with a script in /etc/init.d, go there as root and do
insserv script-name e.g., innserv apache2 That does it. KDE restarts any apps I have open automatically. yyuko@yahoo.com wrote: > SuSe 9.3/GNOME > > Where do I go to configure apps to start when the OS is booted? (And where > to remove apps from startup?) > > Thanks, > Bryen |

That depends on whether you want them to start on boot, or when a user logs in or starts the desktop. For example, if when the system boots, there's /etc/boot.local or /etc/after.local. If logging in to a terminal, you could use one one of the bashrc or profile scripts. If when the desktop starts, there's the autostart folder etc. |
