Default How to update

Hi every body

I would like to know if there are another way to download the updates one
need other than through yast. The problem is I have to go through a proxy
that need authentication and I don't get it to recognize my user name and
password in the proxy settings. I can however log on our proxy server
through firefox.

Thanks in advance

Download the update directory tree to a local drive. Then point the
installation source to it. ftp://mirrors.kernel.org/suse/update/10.2/
will get you the updates. Problem will be that you need to update it
regularly. wget is a good tool if you can get it through your proxy server.
