So, I came into work today, auto update to this latest Xorg-x11-server-7.2.30.4 version and patch that comes with it. Whatever the patch did, breaks getVisual stuff for several of my applications. The biggest bugger being in broke gnome-screensaver stuff, so now anytime a screen saver kicks in, or you try to lock your system... you get a nice hung black screen. This is on x86-64... did you guys test this? Trying to revert to base 10.2 CD version of xorg-x11-server 7.2.30 doesn't fix it. Any comments? |

Are you using the proprietary nvidia driver? If so, you probably need to reinstall it. I'm in the habit of doing this after xorg updates: ../NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9746-pkg1.run -a -s |
