The one time someone from novell actually responds to a message, it's to
complain about cross-posting.

How useless are you.

So, I'm a troll, and not a paying customer dissatisfied with support. That
explains so much!

George,

we (the people trying to help each other and the SysOps) are users of Novell products and not Novell employees. We don't get paid for what we do here, most of us are paying customers like you.
If you want a reply and a solution guaranteed, call Novell Technical Support.

Check this URL to get more familiar with the way these forums work:

Sorry for calling you a troll. I hope you do understand better now.

Uwe

I reply to dozens of posts every day. At least some of them are useful
or I wouldn't still be a Sysop after all these years. Check your facts
before you insult people.

In any case the OP was a job ad, not a support request, so I fail to see
how my usefulness is even relevant in this thread.

The comment was more an observation that you're not really here for
support.

My comments are based my own experience. I post in a group
and wait for a response. Several days later, the group
(novell.devsup.suse.linux.java) is closed without a response.

I post in this group twice several weeks ago, and get no response.

I called the pre-sales information line. After 15 minutes on hold, I'm
told that I will receive a return call within two hours. Two hours are
gone by, and no call back.

So, from my experience, there is no support. How would you feel if you
were in my shoes?

I believe my comment was directed at a Novell employee.

....who is working here in his spare time as a volunteer too, but I see you started a discussion with Andrew directly.

Uwe
