Default How to get NVIDIA installed after a kernel update in openSuse 10.1

Hello all,

This note is not asking for help, instead it is telling how I finally solved
my problem from not being able to log in KDE after a kernel update on my
openSUSE 10.1 system via the Software Updater. I could only login at the
prompt and could not start KDE. In my boot menu there was an option to
start openSUSE 10.1 with previous kernel and that worked correctly

After trying a lot of things I finally found the following URL and applying
that in init 3 mode as root and rebooting afterwards solved my problem.
