I've just performed an online update to suse 9.1, which appeared to install
all patches correctly. However, if I now attempt to open any of the update options in the YaST software section they crash without loading. Any Ideas? |

Hi Dan, can you check what was updated. In 10.0 it is in /var/lib/YaST2/you/youlog. -- Regards, Rajko M. |

As you can see I performed a full update, after a clean re-install. Dan |

There is more versions of rpm in the: yast2-packagemanager-2.9.52-0.2.i586.rpm yast2-packagemanager-2.9.63-0.5.i586.rpm yast2-packagemanager-2.9.67-0.4.i586.rpm but only last is the fix. It seems that you used some outdated update source. Open yast and if your only installation source is CD you can "update" package manager to version on CD. Just click After that put manually ftp://ftp.gwdg.de as a server and run update. Let me know the result -- Regards, Rajko M. |

Everything seems ok now, thanks for your help. Dan |

You are welcome Dan. I wanted to recommend yast2-packagemanager "update" from CD which will reverse to version on CD, than to run update again, but using ftp.gwdg.de repository. I use rpm, but sometimes, due to dependencies, one need some experience to resolve the problem(s). That was one of first reasons why SUSE developed YaST. Thanks for the feedback. -- Regards, Rajko M. |
