My version of the base packages is 3.24, there has been no update/fix to
the script published. Am I the only person running 64-bit Suse? Help! Although logging in to the cli and typing "startx" works Gareth Tomlinson |

There is a post earlier referring to a KDE base package update that has caused the problem on other systems, but the versions don't match mine. |

If you have updated via YOU then you will not have the problem in the other thread as the KDE version there is one you have to d/load from the supplementary directory on the ftp server, it is not an update to the one that comes with Suse it is a completely different release. If you have used Yast and changed source of installation to point to the ftp server and have installed KDE 3.5.1 then have you tried again as there have been a couple of revisions since then, the last to the KDEbase files was yesterday morning bringing the version to 3.5.1-40 HTH -- Mark Twixt hill and high water N. You have to re-run the driver install packages after a Kernel update. That's exactly how my system behaves until I do. I am running 64-bit with 10.0, but if it is video related, it affects 32-bit as well. -- ..snork The main thing to understand is that science is about uncertainty.
