People will mention Scribus, but that is really overkill if you are just aiming for the simplicity of Print Shop. I've got it figured out how to make a card with OpenOffice, so if you want the rather convoluted way I do it post back. I'm horribly embarrassed to admit this, but when I want to make a greeting card I just turn on one of the Windows machines and start The Print Shop program I've had since Win95. Maybe The Print Shop would run under wine? Malke -- "I have a cunning plan..." |

That is why I did not answer, there are ways but as far as I know not in a single application, OOo is OK for some stuff, barcode is fine for small labels and business cards etc... Just a quick look round and this is the first hit, have never tried it so have no idea if it even works: http://linux.softpedia.com/get/Print...ard-2296.shtml HTH -- Mark Twixt hill and high water N. I'll take a look. Naturally I prefer to do everything in SuSE but as you so wisely say (and since this is my own attitude naturally it is wise!) some tools are good for some jobs, etc. That's how I feel about Windows. There are a very few things I still do on one of the Windows boxen. Cheers, Malke -- It is very dark. You are likely to be eaten by a grue. |

I downloaded the app that Mark suggested but haven't had time to try it yet. Malke -- It is very dark. You are likely to be eaten by a grue. |

Tried it again from the console, I chose the "dog" template, went to designer and clicked on the card image and it threw a wobbler and crashed again. This could be because I am 64bit though so YMMV. If i get chance ( very busy here this week though ) I will look further into it and maybe send a bug report to the dev if it is the app that is at fault. -- Mark Twixt hill and high water N.
