Default Adobe Reader dependency issue?

Hi

Anyone experienced a dependency issue with the recent Adobe reader when
updated from YOU?

I use SuSE 9.2 Pro.

Thanks

Mo

Under SuSE Pro 9.3, yes. And the required package is only on the DVD. The
package I had to install to get rid of an "unmet dependency" message was
"compat-curl2" (that's "see", "you", "are", "el", 2). If you don't have a
DVD drive, you have three options. Add one of the SuSE mirrors as an
installation source and install, but this could be painful without a
broadband Internet connection. Or you could download the 9.2 full rpm
package (be sure to check the updates for the latest package if any), put
it in a folder, and add the folder as an installation source, and install.
Lastly, you could download the rpm as before, open a terminal window,
become root, go to that folder, and enter "yast --install
<pachage_name.rpm>" Note that this third method will blindly install an
rpm without checking for or resolving unmet dependencies, but that was not
an issue for me and the 9.3 acroread update. Good luck!
