Is it possible to get a nt4 bdc working with openexchange acting as a pdc.
The reason for this is all the data is stored on the nt4 bdc and by making the openexchange an email gateway and pdc, the user only needs to sign on once to access resources (shares) on the nt4 bdc, so effictively the openexchange server will provide all authentication. I have tried the following, by setting up a suse linux enterprise server 9 pdc with samba3 and ldap (idealx solution), i can access nt4 resources when connecting from a windows xp client, users and group mappings also work, but when trying this with openexchange the group mappings do not work (unix groups aren't mapped to the nt4 bdc). I figured this could be as a result of openexchange using samba 2.2, which is quite old. Are there any samba 3 packages for openexchange ?. Any suggestions would be apreciated. Thanks |
