Default Xine problem

Hi, I've got a few mp3 songs which won't play in amarok with the xine engine. They do work if I use gstreamer, and other mp3's work just fine with the xine engine. I don't quite know yet what info you guys would need to help, so I can't post much.

libxine and libxine-codecs are installed from packman and I am using kde 4.2 and amarok 1.4.10 (kde 3.5)

Its very strange that you can play some mp3 files with amarok/xine, but not those mp3 with amarok/xine.

It suggests to me that there is a problem with the mp3 files themselves, that gstreamer can work around, but xine can not.

If it were me with this problem, I would look for a utility that might allow me to check the quality of the mp3 files in question.

Some possible packages (that I have not used) on packman:

I haven't found any abnormalities, compared to the other songs, which do work, but I guess I'll just keep on using the gstreamer engine.
