I've been down this road before, with Fedora, opensuse, and Ubuntu.
The easiest to fix was Ubuntu, there's a link in their forum that download and installs all the needed codecs. In OpenSuSE I had to use the RPM's for libdvdccs, libdvdread, libdvdnav but from the VLC VideoLan repo. Those seem to work better than Pacman. weird I know but it works. For your info, I'm using Lenovo T-61 all intel chips. CHEERS! |

Hi,
I would also recommend installing VLC media player, it works like a dream and it plays all the possible movie file types as well as DVD's. You can install it either from: PackMan :: Package details for vlc or VLC media player for openSUSE For me the 1-Click install worked 100%. I hope you can watch DVD's on your SUSE system this weekend. Enjoy H |
