Some more inconsistancies in your repo's though not multi-media.
You have to remove repo #4 Did you change the priority of Update repo from 20 to 99? Strictly speaking qt44 is not needed. Also repo #10 12 13: are from OS 11.0?? Why are they there? Look at Yast Software Management - Filter by repo - Select 'System' Do you see many Red or Blue Packages if you scroll thru the list? You could try and get them all Black. Depending on your Internet (You could Update all Unconditionally in System repo filter)

Repos #10 12 13 - they were an oversight. I have removed them. I did as directed. I had some Blues and some Reds. How do I turn the Reds to black. Delete them? There is no "downgrade" option. I upgraded (rather in the process) the blue ones except for the following: digikamThese kept putting up conflicts/errors. Each time I chose the option to go with a different vendor, but that didn't really help. They always came up with some other conflict or error, until the only option I was left with was to delete/not install some file that had been previously needed. I'll let you know what happens with the installation. I thought it might be useful to give you the read out of the zypper command. # | Alias | Name | Enabled | Refresh | Priority | Type | URI | Service ---+----------------------+-----------------------+---------+---------+----------+--------+---------------------------------------------------------------------------------+-------- 1 | Banshee | Banshee | Yes | Yes | 99 | rpm-md | Index of /repositories/Banshee/openSUSE_11.1 | 2 | Java | Java | Yes | Yes | 99 | rpm-md | Index of /repositories/Java:/packages/openSUSE_11.1 | 3 | KDE_4.2.3 | KDE 4.2.3 | Yes | Yes | 99 | rpm-md | Index of /repositories/KDE:/42/openSUSE_11.1 | 4 | Libdvdcss repository | Libdvdcss repository | No | Yes | 99 | rpm-md | http://suse.linuxin.dk/repo/11.1/ | 5 | OpenOffice | OpenOffice | Yes | Yes | 99 | rpm-md | Index of /repositories/OpenOffice.org:/STABLE/openSUSE_11.1 | 6 | Packman Repository | Packman Repository | Yes | Yes | 99 | rpm-md | Index of /pub/packman/suse/11.1 | 7 | Packman_USA | Packman USA | Yes | Yes | 99 | rpm-md | Index of /suse/11.1 | 8 | Qt_for_KDE | Qt for KDE | Yes | Yes | 99 | rpm-md | Index of /repositories/KDE:/Qt44/openSUSE_11.1 | 9 | VideoLan_for_OS_11.1 | VideoLan for OS 11.1 | Yes | Yes | 99 | rpm-md | Index of /pub/vlc/SuSE/11.1/ | 10 | nVidia | nVidia | Yes | Yes | 99 | rpm-md | http://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/11.1/ | 11 | openSUSE 11.1-0 | openSUSE 11.1-0 | Yes | No | 99 | yast2 | cd:///?devices=/dev/sr0 | 12 | repo-debug | openSUSE-11.1-Debug | No | Yes | 100 | NONE | Index of /debug/distribution/11.1/repo/oss | 13 | repo-non-oss | openSUSE-11.1-Non-Oss | Yes | Yes | 100 | yast2 | Index of /distribution/11.1/repo/non-oss | 14 | repo-oss | openSUSE-11.1-Oss | Yes | Yes | 100 | yast2 | Index of /distribution/11.1/repo/oss | 15 | repo-source | openSUSE-11.1-Source | No | Yes | 100 | NONE | Index of /source/distribution/11.1/repo/oss | 16 | repo-update | openSUSE-11.1-Update | Yes | Yes | 99 | rpm-md | Index of /update/11.1 | Thanks for helping. Well it still might not be an issue with the plugins, again I suggest trying to disable desktop effects.
Do you use a special video card? ATI? Nvidia? |

Red packages which have no option to roll back, ie; no radio button is available in the Version Tab. Means either you installed the .rpm manually (an eg would be the Sun Virtual Box .rpm) or the package is defunct either because it is from a repo you have removed or the package has been replaced by another with a different name.
Confused? You should be. This is what happens if you mess with development stuff and don't have sufficient knowledge..sorry, but it's true. Try a Update all Unconditionally using the system filter from the repos Post any errors here for us to look at Use the expert button in the error box to save all the info to file - then copy it here.

But I am not saying thats always the case, as there are many factors to consider. Computers have a individual personality from my experience. |
