Even though your internet is a little slow, I hope you are not on some crumby download limit, you have been at it a bit today!

No, I have a flat rate. The problem is the provider(s) here don't have the best service. I was without internet service from Tuesday of last week to Thursday. In fact most of the Northern part of the island was.
They seem to have gotten their act together but I'm not holding my breath. Most of the lines here are given over to the internet casinos and gaming companies so the ISP's have to lay new lines or buy some from other islands. It's all a big mess here. Mostly I have a passable connection, about 256 - 700 odd. Nothing like back in Germany, 16000 download and 6000 upload. |

Ok. All installed and done.
Now what? |

I checked out the Desktop - System Settings and made some changes in Desktop Effects. However I couldn't see where to set what Hot-Keys were available to initiate the 3D-Cube or Sphere, etc.
Help, please. |

Got it figured out.
With all the digging I couldn't find where to enable the virtual desktops so that they would show on the taskbar? I'm sure it's something simple and I'm missing it, but I just don't see it. |

The panel at the bottom of your screen should have a pager widget.
Make sure if you right click the desktop the widgets are unlocked, then at the bottom right of the panel click the cashew thing, when the panel expands click the add widget. Item already in the panel or on the desktop will be discernible because there will only be the option to remove as opposed to add. Here: ![]() It's quite a different way than in kde3 of old.
