I just tried to download the 64bit version from your site, and got an error - invalid file.
Is the 64bit available or haven't you got around to building it yet? Thanks once again for providing this bunch of packages, it certainly makes re-installing a breeze .

Thanks Easgs.
I downloaded the entire package as you suggested, (with 56k...might as well not have internet:-)), created the MMP2008 folder as you suggested, but I am having a difficult time understanding how to create the simple RPM directory. I am new to this and don't quite understand a) how to make a URL that Yast will recognize b), which portions of the pack to use once I do get the URL right to make things like Amarok work. Help for a newbie, please:-). |

Hi and welcome to the forum, in the MMP blog there is a video tutorial, this video can help you to setup the portable repo and to install a program from the pack, in the pack there is a txt file with the list of the included programs, just make a search in yast as shown in the video to install the programs you need, this is the link to the video tutorial
MMP2008HowTODivx.zip This video is also available at: YouTube - Open Suse Multimedia Pack 2008 But the first one has much more quality According to some test I have made, you can download the entire pack in a cibercafe in about 1:30 hours and the video in about 5 minutes, this is faster than using a 56k connection. |
