Hello Everbody,
I'm looking for a game of Chess that can be installed on openSUSE 11.1 with the KDE 4.1 Desktop. In the Issue that I've installed there's only Mahjonng and Reversi as board games on board. I've looked on www but that's like looking for the proverbile Needle! Hope you can come up with something Stui15556 |

Lots of games of chess for openSUSE. Please read this wiki:
Games/Chess - openSUSE In the "OSS" directory, one can download xboard, gnuchess and phalanx. xboard is the graphi front end for gnuchess and phalanx. But I prefer "crafty" (which is a stronger program that also uses xboard front end) and there is guidance in the URL I provided above. If you get stumped, please post here and I (or someone else) will only be too pleased to help. |

User Akoellh has done a superb job in packaging some more chess programs for openSUSE. Check out: Chess Software for openSUSE - openSUSE Forums
Looks like I have my hands full now, in doing a major wiki clean up to reflect this effort. Its the sort of clean up that I don't mind doing
