Talking Gameboy Advance emulator too slow

Greetings! I installed a gameboy advance emulator called VBA-M and it runs the games very slow. Even though I play it in mute the games runs at 70% or less. I also tried the frameskip in 9, and doesn't work either.
could it be the video card or something? or is just a matter of configuration?

thanks for the help!

Default Re: Gameboy Advance emulator too slow

I'm unfamiliar with VBA-M, but it appears to be a fork of VisualBoy.

Have you installed VisualBoy from the OpenSUSE build service (Emulator Repo) to see if the speed is better? Since VisualBoy is part of a repo, there may be more people in the forum that can offer advice on it.
