Default pystromo n52 kde suse howto

Hey guys I'd like to get my Nostromo n52 working on my installation of Opensuse 11.1. I downloaded the recommended pystromo software and am currently working on installing it. I've tried to follow instructions on the ubuntu forums and in the readme section of pystromo but the info is not completely suse compatible.

for example where the readme says to add the line "uinput" into /etc/modules I find that there is no file. I'm almost positive that I would need to add "uinput" into /etc/modprobe.conf. I tried just that, saved the file and exited. Next up was to run the following command as root "modprobe uinput" I get the following error...WARNING: /etc/modprobe.conf line 210: ignoring bad line starting with 'uinput'

Has anyone tried to install this? or can ya guess what I need to do differently for Suse? Perhaps there's some other software you could recommend?

Thx
