Hi,
I only see "The IcedTea Java Web Browser Plugin 1.6 (suse-5.9.4-i386), but I neet to run the version from "sun systems", when I check "http://www.java.com/es/download/installed.jsp" it tells me that is not installed. Using repositories I installed de control panel Sun Java plug in 16.0.u17, Can I use it to enable with firefox? Fredy |

Go to Yast Software Management
Make sure you have these: Code:
java-1_5_0-gcj-compat-1.5.0.0-107.109.2.i586 java-1_6_0-sun-plugin-1.6.0.u17-1.1.1.i586 java-1_6_0-sun-1.6.0.u17-1.1.1.i586

I have a little dude, I do two steps, What is the correct solution to get it works? Doing both things? or only doing your last post? Fredy |

When installing packages its normally practice to open up YAST in openSUSE, instead of going from site A, B C, X, Y, Z to hunt for software.
A friend of mine is going to do a full series on openSUSE 11.2 on installing software and stuff soon so maybe I will post it when he is done. |

You shouldn't need to install anything manually. Use YaST - Software Management
Occasionally you might need to add a repository to get access to more applications (Eg; Multi-media) Multi-media and Restricted Format Installation Guide - openSUSE Forums
