Download the DVD?
You can't easily download ALL packages. |

you'll need to edit a file as root.
The file is /etc/zypp/zypp.conf You're looking for line 219 or thereabouts, you'll see: #commit.downloadMode = Remove the '#' to uncomment that line, then add the appropriate word to the end as desired. The particular mode you're looking for is "DownloadInAdvance", so the line should look like: commit.downloadMode = DownloadInAdvance Remember that you need to be very careful of CASE (uppercase / lowercase) when typing things like this. There is also a good explaination of what each word does just above that. Hope this helps Loni

The problem is that you need to know the order in which the installer manages the installation, detects the hardware etc. and customises the installation; if you want a custom distribution try openSUSE Studio SUSE Studio - openSUSE
If you have a problem with bandwidth, you can buy the DVD or I'm sure someone can post one to you. |
