I am trying to find a good GUI log viewer to review my audit logs. Does anyone know of such a viewer that can organize logs with tabs and searches. I would like to find one that works well with the kde 3.5 desktop for OpenSuSE 10.2 and 11.0. Thanks for the help.

Have you tried KSystemLog? Otherwise, a good text editor such as kwrite as su should do the job. You can save sessions in KWrite, including tabs and files.

chief_sealth,
Thanks a lot for the tip. The KSystemLog application is exactly what I was looking for with nice organized tabs, search functions, and customization capabilities. I figured it had to be there. I just wasn't looking in the right places. I know I did a yast software management search for "log" but I must have overlooked it somehow. Thanks again. This will make my life a lot easier since auditing is a significant responsibility in my job. -Kisron |
