Exclamation KDE4/Kernel USB detection slow

When i plug any usb device into any port on my system, it takes up to a minute to detect

Note: When i run lsusb, it prints nothing for like 30s and then the device is detected and KDE4 says a new drive is connected, or something says new hardware conected

kde 4.2
opensuse 11.1
fully up to date kernel
amd64

I've got KDE4.3 and Windows on a dual boot machine and I don't notice much difference in the detection time.
