KDE: application/octet-stream

Hi all,

it's been some days that I've been getting a strange error in KDE. It doesn't block functionality but it's quite annoying anyway. Whenever I start a KDE application I get the following error message:

and sometimes even while creating thumbnails. I've been looking for a solution but haven't found a working one yet.

Any ideas on where to look next?
