Thanks greatly for this info. I've setup an RSS feed to the KDE site so I can have more info quicker.
What is the hard way of doing it. I really would like to get myself off of the one click installers because they tend to add redundant repositories sometimes.

![]() just as a matter of personal interest, i wonder what features have been added.. have they yet added stability, reliability, documentation and a feature set equal to or exceeding (say) KDE3.5.x ? -- brassy |

@sabbyman
Did I help you with kde42 recently? To update to 4.3RC3 you need these repo's Desktop Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Desktop/openSUSE_11.1 Community Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Community/openSUSE_11.1_KDE4_Factory_Desktop You need to disable any kde repo's you have already (eg; kde 42' repo's) Then in software management - filter by repo - select the new Desktop kde4 Factory and from the 'Package' menu along the top of Yast select Update all in this list Unconditionally. Do the same in Community kde4 Factory Accept Can I say, look out for defunct packages. Ones which have dropped the kde4 prefix. eg; kde4-dolphin, kde4-amarok. Those packages still exist but only for older kde4 versions. If you filter by repo's and select the 'System', scroll thru. Look for RED packages. Use the versions tab to check it.

![]() Well, I've tried disabling all my repositories except for the NVIDIA, update and then added the two factory repos that you specified. I selected all to be uncondionally updated but got dependancy errors. Nothing supports the desktop 4.2.98 stuff for some reason
