KAddressbook should store data under ~/.kde4/share/apps/kabc Can you find any interesting (newer) file on there? Greetings, -- Camaleón |

No, I already looked there. I got that problem when a dist-upgrade removed some Akonadi-related package, but other than the reverted data, it all seems to run just fine. That happened after 4.3 RC1 was already in Factory.
Could it be that in between Nov 2008 and July 2009 the data was saved in another location? |

Mmmm, AFAIK, Akonadi can be integrated with KAddressbook. http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/PIM/Akonadi So if your kaddressbook was linked in someway with Akonadi and you removed some Akonadi related stuff, it's quite possible that your address book cannot find the new contacts but your data maybe still there, under any Akonadi config folders, dunno exactly where to watch :-?. You can perform a search to find all "*.vcf" files. Greetings, -- Camaleón |
