HI I just installed SUSE 11.1 and chose KDE 4 rather than knome anyway a frien of mine runs KDE 3.5 and i would like to be able to on the same hyme sheet when ever he tries to help me as i am new to linux.
So is there a way to install KDE 3.5 ?? How do i do it ?? i need step by step info please My friend says maybe i could reinstall SUSE 11.1 and choose KDE 3.5 then but i only remember 2 options available kde4 or knome many thanks for reading this as i dont often come to this forum i wonder if you could send me an email to Code:

Many thanks microchip8 i rebooted into suse and followed your instuctions, i could not find PATTERNS till i selcted FILTER
then i was unsure what to choose as under Graphical envirmen... there were 2 , KDE3 DESKTOP ENVIRONMENT and KDE3 BASE SYSTEM NOT DONE ANYTHING YET AS I AM NOT SURE Which do i choose ??? also i noticed black and large and small green ticks in the boxs also need more help suse cant see my CANON IP1500 Printer canu assist? patrick |

If you check kde3-base, it will drag in everything else
accept To ADD KDE3 via Yast-Software Management -Patterns - Post In - openSUSE Forums

Hi Patrick. The openprinting database does not look very promising: OpenPrinting database - Printer: Canon iP1500. Maybe you're lucky with the proprietary driver: Canon Print Filter for Linux. Good luck!
