Sorry, I forgot to mention those options are under the Screen section of your xorg.conf and after you add aiglx true you must save the modified xorg.conf then restart your computer.

Hit alt+f2, then type Code:
kdesu kwrite /etc/X11/xorg.conf type in your root password, then you can edit it ![]() Good Luck, Ian

I did that, and I typed in my pwd, then nothing come up. Sorry for being such a newb lol. And ty for all your help! Im gnome. So I typed in gnomesu instead. maybe I dont have kwrite? idk.

Hmmm.. strange. Try it again, it might take a while for it to pop up when you first try it.
Otherwise you could try a different editor Kate hit alt+f2 then type Code:

Ive tried all of this...
init 3 nvidia-xconfig --composite nvidia-xconfig --render-accel nvidia-xconfig --add-argb-glx-visuals -d 24 Adding aiglx =true to xorg.conf I forget what else. none of it worked. P.S. ty for all the help Ian! should I boot in (gnome) opensuse 11.1 ... (default) or opensuse 11.1 ... (pae)? |

You don't have the driver installed either install the correct nvidia driver or edit xorg.conf to nv.

Alright...let's start over haha. I'm sorry this is being so difficult. It should be as easy as one two three but sometimes it doesn't always work out that way.
You said you already installed the drivers? How and where did you install the drivers from? Did you go to the nvidia site and download the drivers and install them or did you do the one-click install from the opensuse nvidia site? Ian
