Exclamation evolution - cannot S/MIME Sign anymore

Hello,

after upgrading to OpenSuse 11.1, I am not able to S/MIME sign messages in Evolution (2.24.1.1) any more.

First it complained that "Cannot add SMIMEEncKeyPrefs attribute". I fixed (?) this by going to Preferences/Certificates/Authorities/Edit, where I set "Trust this CA to identify email users".

Now, after being asked for a password, the email is sent alright. However, the received email shows that the signature is broken (verified in evolution and other e-mail clients as well). In evolution, it says: "Error verifying signature, Cannot set message digests".

This is really annoying. Are there any low-level tools which I could use to debug this problem? Evolution acts as a black box and gives no hints about what may be wrong.

Best regards,
Petr
