Default Compiz Fusion Borders

I have actually been having this problem since 10.3 and it makes me sad that I can't fix it. Every time i turn on Compiz effects not only do I not have effects, I also now lack window borders and the ability to move or resize the windows. I've been having the problem so long there must be a way to fix it by now.

reapper.

Do you have any suggestions that don't involve beryl? (or magic for that matter...)

I started out with the same problem with OpenSUSE 11.1 and KDE 4.2. One of the things I've noticed, is that compiz fusion only works for me if I install from the openSUSE Compiz Fusion site Compiz Fusion - openSUSE
If I upgrade from the repositories it ends up breaking it. Hope this helps.
