Ok, I did that. I got to software management and installed quite a few updates. But yast and install software still work the same.

Ok, thanks! Are you pretty sure it will be able to install the new firefox, wine eclipse, etc? If so, I'll start transfering my files back on, otherwise I was thinking I should wait in case I would need to switch to Ubuntu or fedora. Thanks a lot for the help!

Ok, I'll try it out. It sure is a different way of installing than what I'm used to!

I just reloaded the qt stuff and I think all is well again ( fingers crossed ) Not much help now I know but just in case it happens again that might be a solution to try. Yeah, it was kind of drastic, but I didn't have anything to lose.
I have another question, and I'm not sure where to post it... How can I install downloaded software (eclipse, firefox, etc)? Can you point me to a guide or something? Thanks. |
