Kde 4.1.2+compiz panel does not disappear in full screen

I have kde 4.1.2(release 44.5) with compiz as windows manager. I have problem in full screen mode. When I play any video file with any video player and goes to full screen mode, kde panel does not disappear from screen(shown on the top video). When I disable compiz and use kwin, then there is no problem. Is there any way to get rid of this problem? Plz help me.

I am having the same problem with KDE 4.1.1 and compiz. I can't find any way to get the panel to auto-hide whenever I am in full screen on anything from an online flash video on youtube to VMware. Has anyone found a way to fix this?

I'm having the same problem with KDE 4.1.3 and Compiz 0.7.8 (from the XGL repositories). Would upgrading to KDE 4.2 solve it?

Upgraded to KDE 4.2.1 and got this problem. Looking for the hide panel checkbox everywhere and is currently going crazy!

Wish I would have seen this sooner. All you have to do is open CompizConfig Settings Manager (CCSM).

Go to the Window Management Section.

Put a check next to Window Rules then click on it.

Next to Above type

state=fullscreen

This will allow fullscreen windows to cover the panel.
