I have seen other threads where they believe that this is due to bad media. It may be worth checking out.
However, I believe that the installer is not recognizing the DVD player. It is looking for either
cd:/// or
dvd:/// -- and I think,
on the PowerBook G4, that this device is called something else. I am going to do a web search and see if there is any information about this problem. Of course, if anyone here can help, fell free to add your suggestions.
